SeecondOpinion Privacy Policy
Effective September 12, 2026
SeecondOpinion is a personal health intelligence platform. This policy explains how the service and its mobile companions handle information you choose to provide or connect.
Information we handle
Depending on the features you use, SeecondOpinion may process account information, health records and documents, measurements, medications, appointments, journal or conversation content, and data you authorize from connected health services.
Health Connect and Apple Health
The Android companion requests read access only to the Health Connect data types shown in the Android permission screen. The current Android release can read heart rate, resting heart rate, steps, weight, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, VO2 max, and active calories burned. It does not write data back to Health Connect. The iOS companion similarly reads only Apple Health data types you authorize and does not write health data to Apple Health.
Connected measurements are transmitted over encrypted network connections to the Organization and Person you select in SeecondOpinion. Source, device, timestamp, and manual-entry provenance may be retained so the platform can distinguish user-entered, device-measured, and provider-derived information and maintain an auditable history.
Why we use health data
Connected health data is used to build and maintain your personal health record, display trends and history, support record review, and provide the data-backed features you request. SeecondOpinion does not use Connected Health data for advertising.
Storage and security
Mobile authentication credentials are stored using platform-provided secure storage. The Android companion stores sync cursors and source record identifiers locally but does not maintain a separate local database of raw health measurements. Server-side access is scoped to the authenticated account, Organization, and Person.
Sharing
We do not sell personal health information. Information may be disclosed to service providers that operate the platform on our behalf, when you intentionally use a sharing feature, or when disclosure is required by applicable law. Service providers are limited to the information needed to provide their services.
Your controls
You can revoke future Health Connect or Apple Health access in the corresponding device settings. Revoking device access stops future reads; information already imported into SeecondOpinion remains governed by your SeecondOpinion account and record controls. Where account deletion or record deletion is available, those controls apply to information retained by SeecondOpinion rather than the source health store.
Data minimization
The mobile companions request only permissions needed for supported Connected Health features. They do not request Health Connect write access, Android background health-read access, location access, contacts, or advertising identifiers for Connected Health sync.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as SeecondOpinion changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and the policy presented with the service.
